RoadsignUSA #2

Event

When Mayor Bill White Did Not Win Reelection and Annise Parker Did

Mayor Bill White came down and new mayor Annise Parker's image was unveiled on the coldest night in years in Houston, January 8, 2010.  Seven Roadsign supporters unceremoniously watched Claudia Franco reveal new mayor Annise, pulling off the veil using a home made clothes hanger wired to an aluminum swimming pool skimmer pole. That afternoon Claudia and another Urban Artist, Glenn Rollins, climbed the ladder in preparation for the evening unveiling and staple gunned the portrait of Annise Parker, over outgoing mayor Bill White.
