Performative Food Sales Booth

This was an outdoor, weekend performative piece, held in the outdoors at the Nature Discovery Center, in Bellaire, Texas, in conjunction with a community food fair. Sales were primarily organic and natural foods. I brought a food scale along with my pure white slip cast clay food forms. Cast lemons and potatoes were laid out on the table for people to weigh their own low-fired produce.  I wanted to bring awareness to the purity of the food we choose to eat, and what it costs to keep the healthy dirt alive in which it grows.
