Maybe it's not counter intuitive to think American workers can learn to relax during the day and still compete in the labor market. But it takes practice. In Mexico the farmers take long siestas after lunch. In China, workers are seen on factory breaks napping in public in unimaginable places... rigid horizontal vehicle barricades with pillows. Since Japan has embraced corporate naps for public health, come on America, let's invent our own style of peace and quiet.
| RoadsignUSA #4 recognizes Emily Sloan's performance art and participation project titled, (NAP) Napping Affects Performance. It makes the conflict between sleep and stress more public, and more fun. The image for this Roadsign #4 was drawn by artist, Mari Omori, and inspired by Emily's project (NAP). Mari's reclining figure expresses her public performance with (NAP). Artist, Emily Sloan, a social worker at one time, will deliver Mobile Naps to your workplace- she brings a cot or two, clean linens, pillow, face mask and ear plugs. Call 713-582-1198
