RoadsignUSA #1
Monument to Four Mayors

by June Woest & Urban Artists,  2009

RoadsignUSA - the project

This roadsign is located in an unremarkable location on a heavily traveled boulevard near gulf coast waters, within the city limits of the 4th largest city in the United States- Houston, TX. It is located on private land but shares public sky and physical geography with four municipal jurisdictions.  The sign rises above the federal train tracks on the west, is shorter than the public cell phone and electricity towers on the south-- it's just another public utility pole, more or less.

RoadsignUSA is a local culture initiative. Signage is donated to June Woest & Urban Artists by Larry Kelley Real Estate.
